LIFE to Living: Keepin' It Real!

I try to do LIFE to the fullest. I must admit though, it seems much easier to do LIFE dirty. The flesh is a real monster and tries to peak his head up at every corner. Whether it is food, females, frustration or just flat out laziness, the flesh will always gravitate toward the choices that make LIFE (The LIFE... Jesus Christ) sad. It's in those times that I have to tell myself, I have been bought with a price and even though I want to eat it, touch it, say it or neglect it (whatever "it" is), I've made a choice to give my life over to my master. So now I'm serving a LIFE sentence. When I think about it like that, it helps me make the Spiritual choice instead of just following my flesh. Especially when I consider all the peace, love, joy and stuff my master really wants me to have. And I want it all.

I believe that the problem is we don't know what the flesh is all about. What i mean is, is the flesh a "spirit" or is it "flesh?" If you don't understand the root of a thing you will not be able to deal with it effectively. Everything is not a "spirit." We must ask ourselves What is God's perspective concerning the flesh?" Once we understand His mindset about the flesh we can better deal with it and walk in victory over it. Out of all our getting, get understandng!
